Alvarez New Concepts wins 2011 Sustainable Business Award

TAMPA, Fla. - March 1, 2011 - Alvarez New Concepts, a member of the Alvarez family of companies, announces it has won a Sustainable Business Award 2011 from Earth Charter US.

The Sustainable Business Awards recognizes 18 Bay Area businesses whose efforts have demonstrated sustainable business practices that embrace social, economic and environmental responsibility. It focuses on People (Employee and Community Wellbeing), Profit (Economic Performance) and Planet (Environmental Health). The Coalition, comprised of top executives and corporate officers, is helping to shape Tampa Bay's sustainable economy.

Earth Charter US is a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded in 2005 to mainstream the Earth Charter’s vision and principles in the United States. It is the national office for Earth Charter and headquartered in Tampa, Florida.
